Chen Hairong, male, was born in July 1973 and is from Deqing, Zhejiang Province. He is a professor and obtained master's and doctoral degrees of engineering in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University in 2002 and 2007 respectively. He serves as the director of the China Power Supply Society, director of the China Education Association for International Exchange, vice chairman of the Electrical Engineering Education Committee of China Electrotechnical Society, and vice president of the Zhejiang Provincial Education Association for International Exchange. He has been selected as an excellent college teacher in Zhejiang Province, a New Star Teacher of colleges in Zhejiang Province, a provincial leader of higher vocational majors, a third-level talent of the provincial "151 Talent Program", a provincial advanced individual with teacher ethics, and a first-level talent of the "321 Talent Program" of Jinhua City.
He once served as discipline director, director, vice president and dean of the College of Information Engineering, a member of the Party Committee and vice president of Jinhua Polytechnic.
He has been dedicated to the research of power electronics technology in the application field of power systems. He has presided over and completed two provincial and ministerial scientific research projects and one provincial education and teaching reform project, and was involved in more than 10 research projects at the provincial level and above as the main participant. He has published more than 40 academic papers, including over 20 SCI and EI articles. He has won seven scientific research achievement awards at the department level and above. Nearly 20 authorized patents were authorized, including nine invention patents. In addition, he has won one second prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Teaching Achievement Award (a project that he presided over), one second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award (ranked 6th), and one first prize of the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award (ranked 6th). He has also participated in the writing of one academic monograph and two textbooks. He has presided over and completed one sub-project of Mechatronics Technology in the national vocational education teaching resource library and one excellent course of the National Teaching Steering Committee of Automation of the Ministry of Education. He served as the deputy team leader and chief referee of the expert group "Installation and Commissioning of Photovoltaic Power Generation System" in the National Vocational College Skills Competition from 2015 to 2017.
