On the morning of March 18th, a delegation of 5 people including Helmut Maria Peter Göddertz, Commissioner of Düren - Jinhua Sister City Special Committee, Sebastian Eich, Advisor to the Mayor of Düren, and Ju Shengmin, the Member of the Party Leading Group of Jinhua Foreign Affairs Office, visited Jinhua Polytechnic. Vice President Chen Hairong and the heads of relevant departments accompanied the visit.

During the meeting, Chen Hairong expressed a warm welcome to the delegation led by Helmut Maria Peter Göddertz on behalf of the school and briefly introduced the school's international cooperation and exchange situation. He stated that in recent years, the school has been deeply involved in Sino-German vocational education cooperation, implemented the Sino-German mechatronics dual system schooling pilot project with Siemens Germany, and establishing the Sino-German Geriatric Nursing Research Institute with Beckoff, Germany and the German Health and Medical Education Group. Additionally, the school has dispatched multiple groups of teachers to Germany for advanced training. He expressed the hope to further carry out cooperation with German institutions and enterprises in professional education, cultural and scientific research cooperation, teacher training, and resource sharing to promote high-quality development of vocational education between China and Germany.

Helmut Maria Peter Göddertz appreciated the achievements of Sino-German vocational education cooperation. He pointed out that since Düren and Jinhua have been twinned as sister cities, the educational cooperation and exchanges have become increasingly close, and the relationship will be upgraded to a national-level sister city in September this year. Jinhua Polytechnic is a leading Chinese vocational colleges, and Düren also has many well-known universities of applied sciences. He hoped that this opportunity could be used to build a Sino-German vocational education cooperation platform, to carry out short-term exchanges and training for teachers and students, and to explore new paths for student internships and employment for mutual benefit and win-win development.

Subsequently, both sides carried out exchanges on teacher training, student exchanges, internships and employment, and school-enterprise cooperation, reaching a preliminary intention for cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation also conducted on-site inspections of Jinhua Polytechnic Electromechanical Engineering College's Modern Manufacturing Technology Center training base, the Waikato International College International Exchange Center, the Medical College Simulation Hospital and other places, to gain a deeper understanding of our school’s specialty construction and teaching and training facilities.
