Party Secretary Wang Zhenhong Led an Education Delegation to Visit Finland and Sweden

From May 26 to June 2, at the invitation of Heikki Saastamoinen, President and CEO of South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences(XAMK), and Christer Bergman, Chairman of the Sino-Swedish Science and Technology Cultural Exchange Center, Wang Zhenhong, Party Secretary of Jinhua Polytechnic, led a 5-member education delegation to Finland and Sweden for a working visit to further deepen and explore cooperation in vocational education with relevant institutions in Finland and Sweden.

 

On May 27, the renewal ceremony of the cooperation framework agreement between Jinhua Polytechnic and XAMK was held in Finland. At the renewal ceremony, Wang Zhenhong and Heikki Saastamoinen delivered speeches respectively, reviewing the achievements of bilateral cooperation over the past 20 years and conducting in-depth exchanges and discussions on future cooperation. After consultation, both parties signed the Academic and Scientific Research Cooperation Agreement between Jinhua Polytechnic and XAMK.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited the School of Business and Culture of XAMK, held talks with Dean Ari to follow up the previous student exchange program, and visited the school's teaching and training facilities to learn from relevant experiences.

During the visit to Finland, the delegation also visited the Chinese Embassy in Finland and was warmly received by Counselorof culture and education Li Baorong and First Secretary Sun Hongzhi.

The delegation also visited and conducted research at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, University of Helsinki, and the Chinese Association of Science and Technology. They discussed matters such as promoting cooperation in introducing high-end talents, building a long-term scientific research cooperation platform between the two parties, carrying out teacher-student exchanges, and implementing teacher study visits and research.

On May 30, the delegation visited the China-Switzerland Science and Technology Culture Exchange Center and held talks with Christer Bergman, the person in charge of the center. They discussed cooperation in areas such as teacher study visits and training, student exchanges, construction of an internationalized campus culture, and signed a memorandum of cooperation.

During the visit to Sweden, the delegation also conducted research at Karlstad University and KHY University of Applied Sciences.

Relevant persons in charge and related personnel from the school's Human Resources Department, Institute of Modern Vocational Education, and Admissions Office accompanied the visit.
