From December 17th to 21st, the 2024 Luban Workshop Construction Training Program (Exclusive for African Countries), hosted by the China Education Association for International Exchange, co-hosted by the Luban Workshop Construction Alliance, and organized by Jinhua University and Vocational Technology(JUVT), achieved a resounding success. With the theme of Implementing the Luban Workshop Initiative and Deepening Vocational Education Cooperation with African Countries, the training aimed to promote the construction of Luban Workshops in African nations and facilitate the standardized, high-quality, and sustainable development of the Vocational Education Going Global project. Liang Kedong, President of Jinhua University and Vocational Technology attended the event. Nearly 100 participants, including school leaders, foreign affairs directors, heads of professional colleges, and teachers from nearly 60 institutions across China, took part in the training. Chen Hairong, Vice President of JUVT, presided over the opening ceremony.

Liang Kedong introduced the school's characteristics and internationalization efforts in pursuit of high-quality development, and put forward the Three New initiatives for the Luban Workshop: Firstly, enhance adaptability to explore new models for the Luban Workshop. Secondly, improve systematicness to enrich the new connotations of the Luban Workshop. Thirdly, promote developmental potential to inject new momentum into the Luban Workshop.

In his speech, Zhai Jinming stated that the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held in September this year was China's most important home-field diplomacy of the year. He expressed his hope that this training program would help everyone raise awareness, elevate their perspectives, and become more proactive in going to Africa, more prudent in entering Africa, more closely cooperate with enterprises, and more effectively serve the school's overall education mission and national strategic objectives. By doing so, a multi-brand and multi-mode overseas education matrix for vocational education represented by the Luban Workshop can be formed, contributing uniquely to the modernization of vocational education and the construction of an educationally powerful country!

Chen Hairong presented a report titled Exploration and Practice of Government-Industry-University Collaboration in High-Quality Vocational Education Serving China-Luwaka Capacity Cooperation, introducing the situation of the Rwanda Luban Workshop of JUVT and sharing construction and operational experience with the attending leaders and guests.

During the training period, the trainees also visited the African Museum of Zhejiang Normal University and the Mailian Group.
