On May 9th, the opening ceremony for the 5th International Cultural Festival of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology and the signing ceremony of China-Africa Agriculture International Talent Cultivating Cooperation were successfully held in the Student Activity Center. Foreign teachers and students from over 20 countries, including Rwanda, Russia, Indonesia, Equatorial Guinea, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Libya, New Zealand, Serbia, Ukraine, and Lebanon, jointly presented an international cultural feast that integrated the essence of cultures from five continents and the wisdom of China and the world.
Jinhua University of Vocational Technology and the Jinhua Academy of Agricultural Sciences jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement for international talent cultivation and unveiled the plaque for the International Talent Cultivation Base. Experts from the Academy of Agricultural Sciences paired up with Chinese and foreign students from Jinhua University of Vocational Technology in a mentor-apprentice relationship, to pass on knowledge and experience, and to disseminate culture and philosophy.
Culture becomes more colorful through exchange, and art thrives through mutual learning. Chinese and foreign students also jointly presented an extraordinary stage performance. At the Daohua Xiang Square, the Chinese-foreign Cultural Makers Market event saw teachers and students from both countries set up 23 unique booths themed around the characteristics of their respective nations and ethnic groups, featuring activities such as tea art, lacquer fans, pearls, and drones.
It is reported that the series of activities for this year's International Cultural Festival will continue until October. Based on local characteristics, the school has carefully designed more than 10 activities for the International Cultural Festival. These activities cover the exploration of Wuzhou Kiln culture, the experience of Confucian rites and music inheritance at the Confucius Temple, the experience of traditional Chinese architectural mortise-and-tenon technique, traditional pastry making, and more. They aim to provide students with a comprehensive and immersive cultural experience.
