On June 13, Waikato International College successfully convened the Third Meeting of the Third Joint Management Committee (JMC), marking the partnership betweenJinhua University of Vocational Technology and the Waikato Institute of Technology entering its second decade. Both parties reached multiple important consensuses on deepening cooperation and future development.Attendees included Warwick Pitts, President of the Waikato Institute of Technology; Liang Kedong, President of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology; leaders from relevant departments and the leadership team and office heads of Waikato International College. Vice President Chen Hairong chaired the meeting.




The meeting reviewed and approved items including optimization of the College’s organizational structure, construction of a “Silk Road Institute,” and the establishment of a foundation. President Warwick Pitts was elected Vice Chair of the Joint Management Committee. The presidents of both institutions presented appointment letters to committee members and jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding on building the Chinese–New Zealand Digital Craftsman College.

To encourage outstanding teachers, students, and staff to contribute to the College’s connotative development, the University established the “AZC–Waikato Excellence in Education Fund.”
The successful convening of this JMC meeting lays a solid foundation for cooperation between the two institutions over the next decade.
