On the afternoon of June 13, Waikato International College of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology held its 2025 Graduation Ceremony in the Chuxin Lecture Hall. Warwick Pitts, President of the Waikato Institute of Technology, and Zhang Enning, Director of the AZC International Education Exchange Center, attended the ceremony. Also present were President Liang Kedong, leaders of relevant administrative departments, the College leadership team, Chinese and foreign faculty representatives, and all graduating students. Vice President Chen Hairong presided.



President Liang delivered a speech titled “Rooted in Our Times, Growing Beyond Boundaries.” President Pitts extended warm congratulations to the graduates, highly praised the unique Sino–New Zealand integrated educational experience provided by the partnership, and pledged full support for students who plan to pursue further studies in New Zealand.
Remarks were also delivered by Tong Jiawei (representing Chinese faculty), David Reinsfield (representing New Zealand faculty), and graduate representative Xiang Chenbin. They shared personal experiences, recalled cherished campus memories, expressed gratitude to the University and mentors, and offered heartfelt best wishes to the class.
President Liang and President Pitts jointly conferred diplomas upon the 2025 graduates. President Pitts and Zhang Enning subsequently presented study-abroad scholarships to two outstanding graduates who will soon continue their studies at the Waikato Institute of Technology, encouraging them to deepen their learning and broaden their international horizons.




After the ceremony, President Pitts and his delegation visited the Design College’s 2025 “Designing the Future” Graduation Exhibition, praising the works of students in the Sino–New Zealand programs for “demonstrating breakthrough cross-cultural design thinking and innovative applications of technology.”
