Delegation from the New Zealand Consulate-General in Shanghai Visits Jinhua University of Vocational Technology

On September 1, a delegation led by Ardi Barnard, Consul-General of New Zealand in Shanghai, visited Jinhua University of Vocational Technology, accompanied by Chen Yan, Director of the Jinhua Municipal Foreign Affairs Office. Vice President Chen Hairong and heads of relevant departments and colleges attended.

At the meeting, Vice President Chen extended a warm welcome to the delegation and presented the development plan for the Chinese–New Zealand Digital Craftsman College.

Consul-General Ardi Barnard fully recognized the achievements of the University’s collaboration with the Waikato Institute of Technology and stated that the Consulate-General will continue to support the deepening of multi-field cooperation between the two institutions. He also pledged to facilitate connections with more New Zealand universities, jointly advancing China–New Zealand vocational education cooperation to a broader scope and higher level.

Chen Yan noted that the Jinhua Municipal Party Committee and Government will continue to support the development of Waikato International College and look forward to more pragmatic results in China–New Zealand vocational education cooperation.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the University History Museum, the Jinhu Art Museum of the Design College, and Waikato International College to gain a detailed understanding of the University’s history and current progress in the internationalization of vocational education.
