To further expand international cooperation with European countries and support the University’s high-quality development, President Liang Kedong led a delegation to France and Spain from August 31 to September 6. Focusing on joint programs, faculty–student exchanges, research collaboration, and talent recruitment and introduction, the delegation held in-depth discussions with local universities, municipal governments, overseas Chinese communities, and industry organizations, achieving multiple practical outcomes.

In France, the delegation held substantive exchanges with the University of Orléans and the Indre Institute of Technology. On behalf of the University, President Liang signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Orléans to launch comprehensive cooperation in joint talent cultivation, faculty visits, joint research, and internships and practical training. The parties also reached consensus on co-establishing a “Chinese + TVET” Development Center with the University of Orléans and the Indre Institute of Technology.

The delegation visited the Châteauroux City Government, toured aerospace enterprises and training bases, and met with Mayor Gil AVEROUS.

They also paid a special visit to the Consulate-General of China in Lyon and briefed Acting Consul General Li Zhenping on the University’s operations and internationalization progress.

In Spain, the delegation visited the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and signed a Memorandum of Understanding. They subsequently toured the Faculty of Fine Arts and held in-depth discussions with the dean.

In addition, the delegation visited the Technical University of Madrid and other institutions, reaching consensus on promoting joint talent cultivation, cultural and artistic exchanges, faculty training, and student internships and employment.

During the visit, the delegation hosted a seminar for high-level overseas talent, inaugurated the “Overseas Talent Recruitment Workstation of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology” at the Federation of Chinese Associations in France, and signed a memorandum with the General Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Spain.

Leaders from relevant functional departments and colleges accompanied the delegation.
